The innate, genetic human tendency to seek connections with nature and other forms of life.

Biophilia

Our Philosophy

Rooted in intentional, curated minimalism that approaches greenery as a deliberate and essential element rather than decoration. Every plant is chosen with purpose—considering form, scale, texture, and placement—so that each piece has space to stand on its own and contribute to a calm, cohesive environment. Instead of abundance, the focus is on restraint: fewer plants, selected thoughtfully, creating stronger visual impact and clarity.

This philosophy is deeply connected to biophilia—the idea that humans have an innate emotional need to connect with the natural world in order to thrive. By carefully integrating plants into interior spaces, we fosters that connection in a way that feels grounding rather than overwhelming. The result is an environment that supports well-being, enhances focus, and brings a quiet sense of life and balance into the space.

Ultimately, the goal is harmony between people, plants, and place—where each element is intentional, and nature is experienced not as excess, but as presence.

Meet The Founder

Kenneth Sanchez

Kenneth is a designer whose work blends traditional craftsmanship with a contemporary, sculptural approach. With a background in classic landscaping and floral design, he developed a strong foundation in balance and composition, later evolving his style through a passion for exotic plants, bonsai fundamentals, and intricate wiring techniques that shaped his own distinctive design language.

His work is known for its intentionality: each plant is placed not just for visual impact, but to evoke movement, tension, and harmony within a space. This intention and emphasis on visual harmony transforms plant specimens into living design elements that blur the line between nature and art. Sanchez’s projects have been featured in The Plant Daddies, Architectural Digest (2025), Future Perfect, and Basic Space. During 2025, he also worked alongside Eric Wareheim to bring Serpentine in Los Angeles to life.

Now based in Gastonia, North Carolina, he serves the greater Charlotte area, redefining interiors through a refined, personal take on biophilic design.
