What We Offer

  • The process begins with a consultation to understand your goals, aesthetic preferences, and how the space should feel and function. This is followed by a site evaluation, where we asses all aspects such as lighting, temperature, humidity, airflow, and spatial layout, along with how the plants will complement the existing design.

Using this information and your input we select plant varieties, vessels, and placements that balance visual impact with long-term plant health. Once approved, any necessary sourcing is completed, the design is started and installation is scheduled. During installation we carefully arranging each element to create a cohesive, finished look.

At Casa Kotan, we give you all the resources for the success of your plat but strongly recommend ongoing maintenance services to ensure the plants long term health and/or to continue to evolve the design with new growth.

  • Maintenance services focus on keeping plants healthy, resilient, and visually thriving over time. We begin by assessing the current condition of each plant, diagnosing issues such as disease, pest infestations, nutrient deficiencies, or environmental stress. For existing plants in decline, we provide rehabilitation by treating these problems, repotting if needed, and creating a tailored care plan to restore health.

For plants newly installed by Casa Kotan, ongoing maintenance includes watering, pruning, fertilizing, cleaning foliage, and monitoring light and environmental conditions. We adjusts care routines seasonally and proactively addresses potential issues before they escalate. These services ensures that both individual plants and full installations continue to grow successfully and remain aligned with the intended design.

  • Consulting services supports both beginners and experienced professionals with tailored, practical guidance. For those new to plants, this can include hands-on coaching in care fundamentals like watering, light assessment, repotting, plant selection, and basic design or wiring techniques. Sessions are typically customized to the client’s skill level and goals, building confidence while avoiding common mistakes.

For emerging or established designers, consulting expands into the business side of working with plants. This may cover sourcing and supplier relationships, inventory planning, retail setup, nursery management, client communication, project workflow, and pricing strategies. The goal is to provide clear, actionable insight that helps clients develop both their creative practice and a sustainable, well-run business.

  • Virtual and in-person classes coming soon!

These sessions can introduce fundamentals like evaluating a space (considering light, temperature, and layout) and selecting plant species that will thrive in those conditions. More hands-on classes focus on practical skills such as potting, soil selection, pruning, and wiring techniques for shaping and supporting plant growth.

Classes can also explore design principles, from creating balanced arrangements to developing a cohesive aesthetic, including signature or style-specific approaches like Kenneth’s design perspective. Whether structured as one-time workshops or multi-session courses, we look forward to holding classes that provide a mix of education and demonstration, with opportunities for questions.
